2231 equalizer with compression

Technical parameter:

31-band 1/3 times frequency range graphic equalizer. The gain/attenuation value can be selected as ±6dB or ±15dB. The input gain control is a 41-step stepping rotary potentiometer. With EQ selection button, EQ can be bypassed.

The 40Hz low frequency cut filter is very useful for live performances.

The latest type III noise reduction circuit is used to improve the signal-to-noise ratio by 20 dB. Built-in limiter, threshold adjustment range from 0 to +24dBu. 4 LEDs display the output level -10, 0, +10 and +18dBu.

Electronic balanced/unbalanced input. The output is servo balanced/unbalanced.

Generally speaking, the equalizer is the weakest link in the entire signal flow. System noise is often not improved by the equalizer. The signal-to-noise ratio of the dbx 20 series equalizer is as high as 102dB, which is a big surprise for improving the overall index of the sound system.
